Job Opportunity :: Onsite Management – Laurieton Residential Resort

Laurieton Residential Resort is an over 55’s Land Lease community located south of Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast of NSW. The 301 home resort is still developing, with completion expected in early 2020. All of our residents live independently in their own homes and have access to the Resort’s first-class facilities.

We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual or couple, who are keen to oversee this vibrant community for a “hands on” onsite management role.

The successful candidate will be committed to the development and growth of the Resort and broader organisation. You will have proven experience in retirement living management or hotel management and leadership of people. Your primary responsibility is the day to day coordination and management of the Resort and ensuring the provision of quality services to residents at all times. It is expected that you will maintain the resort to a high standard, providing quality services to residents in line with industry best practice.

A couple would successfully team to fulfill all of the following duties, where an individual would have outsourced help to fulfil some of the duties.

Administrative/Resident Duties (primary role)

  • Welcome tours showing new residents the facilities and resort procedures,
  • Primary point of contact for all residents.
  • Actively foster and support a positive working relationship with the resort team and Operations Manager.
  • Conduct inspections of the resort, manage meetings, staff and resident expectations.
  • Coordinate the efficient and effective management of materials, consumables, grounds, building and financial resources within the resort.
  • Ensure that any issues are well documented, responded to and filed accordingly.
  • Facilitate rent charges, utilities meter reading and billing.
  • Coordination of events, activities and the Resort’s social calendar and newsletter.
  • Willingness and ability to drive the resident bus.

General maintenance duties (secondary role)

  • Oversee the maintenance of all resort facilities, gymnasium, pools, bowling green, lawns, gardens and residential front gardens.
  • Attend to daily issues that may arise within the resort and facilities
  • Maintenance and cleaning of resort vehicles and the resident bus.

Due to the responsibility of the role it is imperative you possess the following:

  • Previous management experience and leadership capabilities
  • Passion and commitment to the over 55’s arena with the ability to work in a team environment
  • A high attention to detail and level of initiative
  • Must be fully competent in Microsoft excel and word.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • A firm but caring disposition
  • Previous retirement village leadership/hotel/property management experience is desirable

You must be the willing and the able to assist residents in a polite and friendly manner whilst ensuring that the community rules are enforced in a firm but compassionate manner.
