Joint investment continues to yield outstanding results for caravan and camping sector
Ongoing partnership strengthens industry’s stellar results
The Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW (CCIA) in partnership with Destination NSW will this week launch the latest version of the “FEEL MORE. LIVE MORE” campaign marking the third consecutive year of this hugely successful collaboration.
Launching Friday 1st March, ads will appear across TV, digital, and social media platforms engaging audiences in key visitor markets including NSW, ACT, and regional Victoria.
“Australian’s have a strong and growing love for caravan and camping holidays which in the past year has seen it become the largest provider of holiday accommodation by nights in the state,” CCIA CEO Lyndel Gray said.
“One of the key drivers to this growth has undoubtedly been the FEEL MORE. LIVE MORE campaign which has been hugely successful in inspiring more people to get out and enjoy NSW on a caravan or camping holiday.
“In particular we have significant growth in the 30-54 years and 55+ markets which have set new records for the highest number of trips and nights, along with intrastate trips which have reached a record high of 3.6 million for the year.”
According to the latest data, caravan and camping is the top holiday of choice in NSW with 19.7 million visitor nights recorded in the 12 months to September 2023. This exceptional milestone marks the largest year on record for NSW caravan and camping.
“It’s clear this ongoing promotional investment by both Destination NSW and the caravan and camping industry has contributed to the sector’s resilience and appeal.
“We are delighted to once again partner with Destination NSW for the ‘FEEL MORE. LIVE MORE’ campaign, showcasing the vibrancy and allure of caravan and camping holidays in NSW and the pivotal role it plays in driving tourism and economic growth across the state,” Ms Gray said.
FEEL MORE. LIVE MORE has joint investment from the CCIA and Destination NSW, along with industry major partners Reflections Holiday Parks, Discovery Holiday Parks, NRMA Parks & Resorts, Holiday Haven Parks, Tasman Holiday Parks, and Ingenia Holidays who have joined the cooperative effort to continue to drive the success of the sector.
