Outstanding Achievements Celebrated with the
NSW Caravan & Camping Industry Awards of Excellence Presentation
17 November, 2023

The Caravan & Camping Industry Association (NSW) has celebrated a night of exceptional achievement at this year’s prestigious Awards of Excellence and Member Celebration.

The event, held at Crown Sydney Barangaroo, saw members gather to honour the outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals and businesses who exemplify the best of the industry.

“Over the past 12 months it’s been great to see the growth in the number of people engaging in caravan and camping holidays and the significant expansion of our market reach across demographics, which reflects the diverse options, affordable price points, and enriching experiences these holidays provide,” commented Lyndel Gray, CEO of CCIA.

“Our resent analysis of consumer trends shows caravan and camping getaways are highly desirable and recognised for providing excellent holiday choice with visitors consistently recognising the high quality of service, amazing locations and cleanliness of holiday parks.

“These awards are a recognition of the many exceptional businesses who work together, from holiday parks to manufacturers and retailers of RVs, coupled with the accessible and affordable housing offered by our land lease communities, that make our industry so enduring.”

The highlight of the evening was the inauguration of the Max Elsley Award for Commitment to a Stronger NSW Caravan & Camping Industry, sponsored by the Elsley family. This new award is to acknowledge an individual who has exhibited exceptional commitment, achievement, and passion, honouring Max’s legacy and his many years of dedication to the industry.

The inaugural Max Elsley Award was received by Managing Director of Avida, Ben Binns. Ben is a CCIA (NSW) Director and runs the one of most successful recreational vehicle manufacturers in the country supporting hundreds of local jobs and building quality products for the Australian market.
