The Minister for Transport and Roads, Andrew Constance, has today announced that drivers towing caravans, boats and horse floats will be eligible for cheaper tolls on Sydney motorways with a new rebate scheme.
Applicable to most of Sydney’s toll roads, as well as motorways that will be open to traffic in coming months (e.g. NorthConnex and the WestConnex) the scheme will be backdated to 1 June 2020, using the existing Transport for NSW Cashback system.
It works by providing a rebate on the larger recreational vehicle tolls to bring the cost in line with regular cars. Eligible drivers can submit their claim when their toll statement is available and receive the rebates directly to their nominated bank accounts.
This is great news for our industry, making drive holidays like caravanning and camping more affordable.
