INDUSTRY AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE IN 2018
CARAVAN & CAMPING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (CCIA) NSW
The Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW (CCIA) recognised the best in the NSW caravan and camping industry at their Awards of Excellence held at Sydney’s Luna Park on Monday evening.
The Caravan & Camping Industry Association of NSW’s Awards of Excellence recognise businesses that are ‘best in field’ for their respective categories, including small and large size holiday parks, service providers, RV manufacturers, dealers and employees.
“This year we had nominations from an outstanding list of businesses across NSW which are striving to deliver excellence in quality and service in our sector,” Association President, Theo Whitmont said.
Mr Whitmont said the caravan and camping industry is vibrant and innovative, always looking for ways to improve and excel with new products, improved facilities, better service and more options.
It’s also an industry that’s continues to grow. In the last 12 months over 4.1 million caravan and camping trips have been taken (up 7% from 2017), and over 16 million nights stayed (up 5% from 2017) in NSW [1].
“Our industry caters to a variety of travellers needs – from families looking for the perfect holiday park with plenty of activities for the kids, travellers embarking on a road trip adventure in their RV, couples seeking a romantic glamping retreat or campers who want to get back to nature – and our members are providing services from one end of the spectrum to the other.
“These awards are an important way for us to recognise the outstanding achievement of the member businesses that help to make this such a successful and important sector of the visitor economy, especially in regional NSW,” Mr Whitmont said,
Mr Whitmont congratulated all of the finalists and award winners including the ‘Best of the Best’ winners Tweed Coast Holiday Parks Kingscliff Beach (Best of the Best NSW Holiday Park) and Suncamper Pty Ltd (Best of the Best Trade).
“Tweed Coast Holiday Parks Kingscliff Beach is the ultimate in modern luxury, offering visitors the chance to indulge in a relaxed coastal getaway at a stunning beachfront location.
“Suncamper Pty Ltd demonstrated a commitment to evolving and tailoring their product offerings to their customers’ needs. They’ve shown great initiative in adapting to growth of the industry and its changing consumer demographics,” Mr Whitmont said.
The Association also recognised the outstanding commitment of individuals with the following Employee of the Year and Young Achiever awards:
