We regret to share some disappointing news regarding the upcoming Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo scheduled for 12 – 14 July 2024 at Kembla Grange Racecourse.
Due to significant rainfall in the Illawarra over the past few months, construction work at Kembla Grange Racecourse has been delayed and will not be completed in time for our Expo in July. This construction work is impacting the majority of the Infield carparking area and making it unusable. In addition, the grass areas at Kembla Grange Racecourse are at saturation point. A large percentage of sites at our Illawarra Expo are on grass, and there are no additional hard surface areas available.
Following a site visit to Kembla Grange Racecourse, and in consultation with the venue’s management team, it was agreed that the venue was unsuitable for our event in 2024.
Therefore we have no option other than to cancel the 2024 Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo and will be issuing all exhibitors full refunds. We are very disappointed that this year’s event can’t proceed as planned and we apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused.
In remaining committed to supporting our exhibitors, we have published an exhibitor list on our website, allowing consumers to access contact details for the companies that were originally scheduled to exhibit.
We will work closely with the Illawarra Turf Club on their planned improvements at the venue over the next twelve months and look forward to these being in place by our event in 2025.
Our next scheduled event is the Canberra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo from 25 – 27 October 2024 and we hope you will be joining us there for another great CCIA event.
